TOFC is excited to present the latest opportunity for players to join our program for the upcoming season. TOFC is part of the BC Soccer Premier League. This premier league is the highest calibre youth league in the province with only eight franchises. TOFC is one of the eight and the only Interior representative. The plan is to have teams in place in mid July with a first league game on the weekend of September 7/8. Our fall league season runs from September until November. A summer tournament is also planned for most teams.

WHO CAN ATTEND – Any registered BC soccer player. If you are unable to attend for any reason but are interested in being a part of TOFC, please email tofcmanager@gmail.com and explain the situation, specifically if your team is preparing for provincials or you have an injury. These evaluations will be for NEW players to TOFC for the 2013 / 2014 Season. We ask that you preregister for the evaluation sessions by filling out the form located here.

COST - There will be a small fee ($20) associated with the evaluation session to pay for field rentals etc. which may be reduced depending on numbers.

TOFC Players Selected!

TOFC players are making strides into the higher levels of programming.

Connor Glennon was selected to attend Whitecaps residency. The Whitecaps pre-residency features players U-13 to U-15 separated into three squads; a U-13, U-14 and U-15 team for a total pool of 52-56. Players train in the evenings and attend their own schools. Exhibition matches are scheduled within the Pacific Northwest region against elite club teams, MLS Academies and other USSDA Pre-Academy teams. Congratulations also to the following TOFC players on being selected to the Provincial Development Program Phase 2.

U13 girls Arianne Pauline-Turcotte (Kelowna), U15 girls Maya Venkataramaran (Summerland), U13 boys Owen Miller (Coldstream), U14 boys Sam McDonald (Kelowna), and U15 boys Alex Matsubara (Kelowna). The program starts May 14th and winds up on the May 24-26 weekend with participation in the Portland Timbers Cup, U13 to U16 age groups. We wish them the best of luck in Portland!

Former TOFC player Haylee Lakovic has been signed by the Heat as reported by the
Capital News.

“It has been quite a busy and productive couple of weeks for UBC Okanagan women’s soccer head coach Claire Paterson.

Paterson’s efforts on the recruiting trail have paid off with big dividends for UBCO’s women’s soccer program with the signing of three prized high school recruits, adding more talent to her program in 2013.

The Heat have signed striker Haylee Lakovic of West Kelowna, along with two other players from the lower mainland to the women’s soccer roster.” Read full article here

VANCOUVER, BC – BC Soccer is pleased to announce the formation of the newly created Diversity Working Group which will provide direction and guide the development of the game of soccer in British Columbia as it relates to issues of diversity.
As a first priority, and in line with the BC Soccer strategic plan and objective of enhancing the diversity of females participating in soccer as players, volunteers, administrators and coaches, the committee is facilitating a number of ‘Women in Soccer Dialogues’.
